Here my mom is tightening my skate because as you can see from my my knees, I wasn't too successful at skating for the first time!

This was my first or second attempt at leaving the edge of the skating ring...I don't remember if I made it, but one thing is for sure... my knees were killing me!

I already got the hang of it here. At this point I was crossing the skating ring from one side to the other -- occasionally though I would grab onto some people nearby to stop myself from falling.

After about an hour or so, I was already skating by myself...but you will also notice noone was near me. I must have grabbed onto everyone in the skating ring by now!
